After a little bit of coaxing from my husband and a few dear friends I finally started a blog of my very own. With no further adieu, let's just jump right in.
I have a serious knitting problem which is only amplified by me working at an LYS. I have totaled all of my yarn and my yardage is 126,326. 77.77 miles. .0090605 of the Earth's diameter. This simply will not do, I need to start knitting the stash.
Every September my favorite podcast, Stash and Burn hosts a fun little knitalong called Single Skein September. The idea is to knit up single skeins from your stash during September. This is the first year I will participate. I always intend to but something always comes up and I don't. This year is different, this year I am determined to produce 10 single skein projects in the month of September. I gathered up all of my non-sockyarn (that part of my stash is for another day......), non-washcloth yarn and this is what I came up with. Full disclosure, this is not everything. I forgot about my Malabrigo single skeins when I took this photo.
My first project is a hat for my husband out of Tosh Chunky in the single greatest colorway of all time, Cosmos. I love this colorway so so much. It fills my little heart with glee. I will be back tomorrow with photos of the Cosmos hat in all of it's Tosh glory.
Good Night.
What a fantastic idea! I look forward to seeing your hat all finished.
ReplyDeleteWow, it looks like you have your work cut out for you! Can't wait to see the finished hat!
